You simply install the plugin, navigate to `Settings -> Meta Theme Colour` from the WordPress admin and use the built in color picker provided by WordPress to set the `meta theme color`. Upload the plugin folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly. 2. But it can get improved on some ways. For instance, maybe you can instead of creating an empty settings page, use the Theme customizer. This way, will be a lot easier, less code for you and also, the setting will be set by theme (what is good because each theme has it own colors).
